Futta tournament was aimed at raising funds to feed the visually challenged and in doing so created a great opportunity for young athletes to come and participate in a game of futta a 5 a side football match. The spirit of the tournament was driven to success by all donations going towards food supplies to cook meals for them.
This tournament also saw success as it was endorsed by Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar. He is a true advocate of the Sauhardya mission and even personally attended the fundraisers to support the teams during their
matches. He quotes: "The causes most near and dear to me are basic needs for our children and for those who have been born challenged either by their environment, physical or mental state. At Sauhardya, they are focussed in nurturing the neglected and the funds are going straight into the mouths of the people who need it the most. Sauhardya has my full endorsing support as their values are so aligned with mine in providing opportunity and basic necessities that are needed to live. It's a basic social right and Sauhardya is the means to make that happen."
1 in 4 children malnourished, global report says.
Project Uday is a mass charitable campaign where we will aim to feed up to 1 Lakh people who are in desperate need of food and nutrition. It will be India's largest food drive where we will have a massive cook up across Indian homes, restaurants and businesses to feed as many as we can who have gone without. You can help by cooking, volunteering or donating much needed funds to give the children of Udaipur a healthy start to their day with the nutrition they need. Furthermore we are seeking support from our local
medical providers to create a health check up camp where vaccinations will be provided. All of these initiatives come at a cost and at Sauhardya we invite you to join us on this journey to continue to help. Project Uday will target as many villages and school children including associations and organisations lacking adequate funds to provide the basic needs of food and clean water to their people. If you are such an organisation or know of one that is also a worthy recipient of the Project Uday food drive, please contact us so we can add them to our registry.
Project Uday is aimed at creating awareness of the number of children we have on India's streets homeless and with little or no food as a daily intake. The sheer number of children is unaccounted for however the drive aims at helping the lower economic end of society with the basic nutrition they need to survive. Time is not on their side but by providing this driving edge, we can help them. With the proper care and nutrition our children of India can at least get the bare necessity in life of which many of us take for granted.
